DCS was recommended to us by a friend who had some recent work done, he was highly complimentary on Dean and his team and the quality of their work. We approached Dean about a loft conversion but he suggested a better and cheaper way to achieve what we wanted with a first floor extension which would mean less disruption. Whilst we were waiting for planning approval DCS sorted out a leaking flat roof for us, it wasn’t straightforward to find or to sort out but they did find the leak and there has been no further leaks since. The team have just completed the work on the house extension to a very high standard and we are extremely pleased with the result. The outside has been matched to the rest of the period house and doesn’t look like an add on. The inside is much better than we envisioned, due to Dean’s ideas, although this did result in some extra costs. The level of disruption has been limited the team timely, polite and helpful, the mess limited. The project has not been cheap but Dean was upfront about this, if you want cheap and cheerful then DCS are not right for you. We would whole heartedly recommend DCS.
DCS have recently reworked our shower room, and it was not without its difficulties. We had a drain problem and there was not a straight wall in the small room. Dean, Dan and Harry took on this challenge with great expertise, patience and good humour, we cannot praise them enough. All the associated trades ie plasterer, drain expert, electrician and tiler were also very experienced and did a great job. It was a pleasure to have them all working in our home. We are absolutely delighted with the end result. To find trustworthy and honest tradesmen these days is not always so easy and we would not hesitate to recommend them.

Dean and all of his tradesmen were prompt, neat and courteous. They had an eye for detail meaning that the end finish was perfect from the carpentry to the wall finishing. They were happy to explain exactly what was going on and nothing was ever too much trouble. By the time they had completed our garage conversion to a utility room and second reception room they were more like friends than tradesmen and we were sad to see them go.
We have known Dean for several years and during this time he has carried out various building work for us. He recently completed an extension, garage conversion and bathroom refit for us which we are delighted with. He and his staff are always polite, courteous and always try to keep disruption to a minimum to ensure family life is not impacted. The DCS building team are highly recommended by us.
It's always difficult to decide on a builder when you are contemplating carrying out major works in this instance internal wall removal to allow for the installation of a kitchen/diner. We finally settled on DCS Services having read previous reviews and cannot praise Dean and his team too highly for the work carried out. Throughout the works Dean was always on hand or available to discuss alterations to the schedule or works as well as dealing directly with the Council regarding building authorisations and as necessary adjusting his team to ensure the minimum of delays. We couldn't have wished for a more friendly and professional crew, they simply got on with the work arriving promptly every morning and not leaving until they felt work required for that day had been completed. I would certainly recommend Dean and the boys and should the need arise have no qualms whatsoever in using their services again in the future.
We are extremely happy with the work DCS did for us (2 x new bathrooms, kitchen, floors, painting,chimneys and various structural work). They were polite, tidy and thoughtful on site, and finished the job in good time. We were always kept up to date and they were always available if we had any questions. We've never used builders before but we felt very comfortable in discussions with them and they gave honest advice. They also went beyond the call of duty many times. We would recommend to anyone and we have sung their praises to anyone that will listen!
We started out with a relatively small project but the overall quality of the team & the end result led us to give all our outstanding refurbishment projects to DCS Builders.

A huge variety of jobs completed to a very high standard including Velux window installation, decorating, joinery and plastering. We had two fully artexed rooms that were plastered to an exceptional standard, an awkward set of original stairs were restyled to make them practical and safe. Deans team managed the project for me as I was away for much of the time. Communication with me was great, pricing was realistic and value for money. I have no hesitation in recommending DCS to you.
Dean contacted me by both email & text message to express interest in my job (replacement of a couple of fence panels). A friendly phone chat gave me a competitive quote, and I was able to send picture messages to further illustrate what was needed. My appointment was then confirmed by text. The team of 3 turned up on time and worked efficiently & professionally. All waste was cleared too. Overall, a very modern, seemless friendly & reasonably priced service. It's always hard to choose a builder when there are so many stories of poor workmanship around. I am more than happy to recommend DCS Services who fitted a brand new bathroom for us. They resolved problems encountered during the work (we live in an old house with many challenges)and discussed anything unexpected. This is the second time we have used them and I am already planning a third.
